What's Happening
Important Dates:
Alameda's After School Program (ASP) began January 26th. We will have classes from 2:30-5:00 PM every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until April 8th. (There will be no ASP during Spring Break: March 22nd-26th.) Thanks to all who are participating.
  • March 3: School board visit 1:00 PM
  • March 4: Spring Pictures
  • March 18: UPP (United Panther Parents) Meeting 6:00 PM in the Library
  • March 22-26: Spring Break - NO SCHOOL
Alameda is celebrating Character Counts! Our staff will nominate students that show the Character Counts! pillars to receive an award. The pillars for Character Counts! are: Fairness (January) , Caring (February), Respect (March), Responsibility (April), Trustworthiness (April), and Citizenship (May).

  • April 5: DAC (District Advisory Committee) Meeting @ LCPS Administration building Conference Room A

February's Character Counts! Awardees for Caring are: Ella B., Samantha C., Marley G., Alan G., Charles M., Marcus M., Yasmine O., Phillip P., Alexis R., Victoria R., Javier R., Lyric S., and Evangelina V.

They will receive a gift certificate from Ci Ci's Pizza and an award certificate from Alameda's Character Counts! program at the UPP meeting on March 18th.

  • April 12-23: NMSBA testing for all 3rd-5th Grade
  • April 19-30: MAP testing Kinder-2nd Grade
  • April 29th: Kinder Pre-registration for 2010-2011 School Year
  • May 3-14th: MAP testing 3rd-5th Grades
